Changing of the North London Guard
Just when you think life for the Irons is starting to settle down and we can dream of one day overhauling those twats from N10 along comes friggin Arsenal and nosedives into meltdown opening the door for Spurs to take over as the footballing masters of North London. They've been a long time in planning this so it should come as no surprise to anybody. But saying all that having them break regularly into the top 4 is going to hurt me like hell. Their training ground is state of the art and whilst I hate the man with a passion, Levy is strong and does business the brutally hard way.

Can't see any point in worrying about Arsenal or Spurs.

Irrespective of personnel, reckon if they had played that game at WHL they would of won, pleased they didn't.

Both clubs are cunts, their fans are all cunts, their players are all cunts, their managers are both cunts, their chairmen and boards are cunts and I see little point discussing or caring who is the cuntier.

Re: Changing of the North London Guard
Have seen a fair bit of Spurs for work in the last few years and what strikes me is that while they have improved considerably and play good football when their first choice 11 is on the pitch, once one or two of them drop off their game a little, they don't have the depth of squad to cope.

This was seen when they went out of Europe a couple of weeks ago. Harry Kane was slightly below his best and that had a huge effect on the team.

Then when they are struggle to fight back they lose their rag and start kicking people. It happened against Chelsea last year and also when the clock was running down the clock against Gent.

How do we get things so wrong.
Always thought we should be on the same footing and similar to Spurs and Everton, but we seem to be falling further and further behind.
The LS is not the answer. Its not ours for starters and from its starting point was always too far away from being a football stadium. Its just a large area where a lot of people are thrown together. Of course you get noise and a bit of atmosphere when 50k people are put together, but for a football experience, no. A concert or Athletics event maybe.
Our only hope it seems that down the line the taxpayer will get fed up funding the stadium and sell it to us at a knock down price (are we sure we will get it and where does that leave us with no asset if we don't). From there either sell it on or undertake some serious reshaping and development this time, not the stupid little cosmetic touch ups we have had.

2 league cups in 20 odd years is basically no better than tons of other clubs.

Reckon that still gives those Arsenal cunts the bragging rights.

Spurs look good on the pitch at the moment. But we've seen how much they struggle on the bigger WEmbley pitch so i suspect their year at Wembley will see them back below Arsenal.

Pains me to say but Levy is class at running a football club.

Levy got the new stadium price wrong already gone up from 400 million to 800 million and long way off being finished

There is a case for mentionening them on the "Which club model should we be following?" thread, but I couldn't quite bring myself to do it.

Re: Changing of the North London Guard
If they finish above Arsenal once, it doesn't mean anything if it's over a season. Spurs are well run for sure, but Arsenal carry the history, prestige and pedigree which Spurs have never had.

Arsenal need an overhaul, but I don't see them dominating London like Chelsea have done for the last decade.

It's N17 by the way.
